It all started with a phone call from my friend Jenni. "A family needs help, what can we do?" My OWL funds were tapped out but I told her - don't worry, we'll get this done!
Together we got the word out and WOW! WOW! WOW! The community came together. I know none of those involved in making Christmas brighter for this family need or want to be acknowledged but I must say thank you to each and every one of you.
First off Jenni Botto who kicked this whole thing off. Jenni - had an army behind her (Jenni, feel free to send me their names to add to this list!) She even had someone on Freecycle contact her, this woman met Jenni to shop for the family!

I want to say thank you to so many people!! first my mom group friends, we have never met in person but have been friends for years, Jen Conelly, Alicia Fletcher Jones, Christy Reed.. Alicia Speare, Kim Pusl, Sara Gubman, Joni Flam, Brenda Thompson, Lori (from freecycle) several people who had overheard me talking and opened up their hearts and wallets, I wish I could thank them again... This was amazing, and I'm so thankful to everyone. Its wonderful to see and be a part of something great, too often the good gets over powered by the bad,, Keep paying it forward.. xoxox

ReplyDeleteOur family is so often the one f the receiving end, it's nice to give! I just hope the little girl loves her Rapunzel doll as much as I know my little girl will love hers :)
